Drop Off, Pick UP & Parking
Many of us grew used to the fact that we could not park at the school last year during the COVID pandemic response. We will necessarily need to continue the practice in this academic year as parking on campus will eventually be reserved solely for staff. Visitors will be provided with special parking upon appointment.
We will be introducing these changes in two phases as early completion of demolition will allow us time in the fall to retain some of our current parking practices. We will, however, begin to evolve them to prepare for Phase Two starting in the winter.
Phase 1: Entrances, Drop Off & Pick Up during Demolition
From the beginning of the school year, students will enter the school buildings through one of five entrances to our Degerloch Campus: the Lower School entrance, the Lower School Gym entrance and the new main entrance/reception to the Upper School by the Upper School Gym and the gate at the back of the school.
To further assist traffic flow we will retain the staggered start and finish for Lower School students as per last year. Parents with siblings in both Lower School and Upper School divisions must arrive at 3:30pm. The school will provide student coverage for those siblings waiting between Lower School and Upper School pick up times.
Early drop off will be by the Lower School Gym entrance between 7:30am and 7:50am.
Mondays, Tuesdays Thursdays & Fridays

All drivers entering by the normal Upper School entrance by the Wilhelm’s Gymnasium must drop off their children and continue to the end of the Lower Sschool Gym before turning right onto Schötlestrasse (the road that goes between our Lower School and Upper School) and on to Degerloch .
Please see the map below to understand the one way entrance by the Wilhem’s Gymnasium and the new required right hand turn exiting onto Schöttlestrasse (the Feldweg).
Public Transit/Biking or Walking
Students using public transit, walking or taking their bikes may enter and exit the Upper School through the entrance by the Wilhelm’s Gymnasium or the back entrance to the pitch area. We have expanded bike parking possibilities by the Lower School Gym, the Upper School Gym and behind the temporary structures on the pitch.
For the moment Parents may continue to park in front of the demolition area however this will be for a limited time. Please see map for parking zones reserved for staff and parents during Phase 1.
All parking is available after 4:30pm for those picking up after our Afternoon Program. The former exit by the Mercedez-Benz Parking entrance will only be open for ISS staff.
